The town my parents live in

Can't say that I love this small town. But due to the fact that my Dad lives there and my Mom and brother rest in peace at the local cemetery I visit it rather often. It's calm and clean, with a lot of flowers and trees. In winter  sparkling snow and cold fresh air attract me most of all. Windless weather allows  me to enjoy real Russian winter.

Yesterday  I had to take my dearest Daddy to his home. It was not an easy thing to leave him there alone but I had. Walking the town I made some photos.

Here they are.

Spassk-Dalny has a station on the Trans-Siberian Railway, with passenger trains connecting the town to destinations includingVladivostok, Khabarovsk and Moscow.

During the Civil War Spassk-Dalny was the arena of hard battles between the White and Red Armies. There is a monument devoted to those battles.

Some monuments and buildings are really ancient but people care about them as they can.

Ice figures a-lya Chinese icetowns look so primitive and ugly I can say. It was an early morning.  But I'm sure that even in bright sunshine these figures won't be better.

And here a schoolyard where my daughter studied in the 1st form.

So, my darling has a hankering for our Russian meal and wants me to bring her the following:

     

a box of candy “Bird milk”

a seaweed package

some bagels

a stick of smoked sausage

a block of  Orbit chewing gum

a Tula gingerbread

Russian tea

And NO Russian spoon hohloma 

and nesting dolls !!!!

Vladivostok is is one of only four major seaports serving a gigantic country and it has become a major commercial hub – mainly for goods brought from China, Japan, and Korea, and through both legal and illegal means. Environmental issues are also a concern for the city. While the city proper is slightly better off, two-thirds of Vladivostok's suburbs are categorized as too polluted to be lived in. Local geographic conditions compound the problem, with high hills preventing winds from sweeping out the air pollution. According to investigative reporting from the International Herald Tribune, funds intended to address the environmental issues get siphoned off, and only 1% funds that come from fines on polluters are used for their intended purpose: fighting pollution. Despite its problems, Vladivostok's residents are often proud to be part of the "Eastern Ruler" of Russia. With its steep hills looking down on ships and ports, and streets dotted with Chinese and Korean shops and restaurants, the city is often compared to San Francisco in its look and feel.The most remarkable thing about Vladivostok is used-cars.The importation of automobiles is  one of the city's best known industries.

Many guests of Vladivostok like to visit the building of the active Holly Virgin Assumption Church which has recently been augmented with the new domes and the belfry. 

I remember the time when on the spot of the church we walked and played with my daughter. I made this photo some days ago. The domes of the church  look like little sprouts of new hope for blessing, honesty and true love.

I love this song. Nevertheless it's devoted to Allah, I think  God is unique and single no matter what name we call Him. The song is calming and kind. There is nothing more important than love.

The way we

Recently I've seen  New Armenians and thought that all these flies and falls of these funny guys look like our miserables efforts to renew the schools and teaching methods according to FGOS (Federal State Educational standards 2). So difficult to change people's habits to falsificate the proccess and results of their work.
